RULES AND REGULATIONS

Park & Ride Sites

Persons who drive vehicles on our three Park & Ride sites at Floriana, Marsa and Pembroke are at all times subject to the motor vehicle laws and regulations of Malta. Arriva parking rules and regulations are subject to change for special events and emergencies. Parking charges will be displayed at all of our sites.

PARKING

Parking is available 24 hours a day, on a first come first served basis. Please be aware that bus services from Park & Ride sites will be generally available from 0500 to 2300, but please refer to specific timetables. The number of available parking spaces is clearly indicated at the entrance of all Park & Ride sites. All sites are clearly signed at each entrance. The car parks are policed by Arriva enforcement officers.

Certain bays have been set aside for use by employees who must display staff car parking permits at all times. Vehicles double parked, blocking roadways, parked on a double yellow line, not correctly parked within designated spaces, parked without a permit in staff parking spaces or parked illegally in disabled areas are subject to being immediately towed away. Abandoned vehicles will be towed away and reported to the Police.

Under subsidiary legislation 65.13 ‘Clamping and removal of motor vehicles and encumbering objects’, the charge for towing and storage of the vehicle for the first 24 hours is €105. The charge for storage after the first 24 hours, per day or part thereof is €7.

Vehicles are not permitted to queue at the barrier when the car park is full. In the event that access is allowed but no parking space is available, customers are required to exit the car park in a timely manner and make parking arrangements elsewhere. Only one vehicle is permitted to pass through the barrier at any time.

A number of car spaces at each site are reserved for persons who are in possession of a blue badge issued to them by the Kummissjoni Nazzjonali Persuni b’Dizabilità (National Commission Persons with Disability) or other badge issued by a competent authority indicating that a person has a disability which entitles them to park in a parking bay reserved for persons with disability. All customers using the disabled bays must make sure that they have their badges clearly visible on the car dashboard.

Please note: Ticket vending machines give change, but Arriva staff are not able to provide change for the ticket vending machines.

OVERNIGHT PARKING

Overnight parking is available on our sites 365 days a year in dedicated zones and is defined as being between the hours of 1900 hours and 0700 hours. Overnight parking and for those people who intend to leave the site after 1900 hours is restricted to designated 24 hour parking zones.

These restrictions are in place 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  Vehicles must park in a designated marked parking space, in accordance with restrictions, at all times.
