Arriva Malta is a Maltese company determined to deliver the highest quality service possible in Malta and Gozo. Customers and their experiences are at the heart of Arriva’s service. All our customers, wherever they are in Malta and Gozo, are equally important and no effort will be spared to ensure that all of the services Arriva is contracted and trusted to deliver will be provided.
As an active corporate citizen that operates within the Maltese society, Arriva is determined and committed to support the community through a programme which focuses our community engagement on specific societal issues, including Art & Culture, Literacy & Language, Heritage, Environment, Social Initiatives, Sports, Education and Good Corporate Practices.
Some of these are areas of urgent societal needs where we can apply our resources (financial, human and corporate) to help with and when possible solve problems, rather than simply making cash donations. We believe that direct action and collaboration are the path to real change.
Arriva looks to the full 10-year term of its contract as public transport operator on the Maltese Islands, and seeks to continue to grow both as a business and as an entity within society. With that growth, comes the responsibility to contribute positively to society on a national scale.
The Community Programme continues to build a culture that values the individual and the community. This programme seeks to maximize the positive impact of which we, as a Maltese company, are capable. We do this in four ways:
- We identify and act upon new opportunities to apply our technology and expertise to societal problems.
- We scale our existing programs and initiatives to achieve maximum benefit.
- We empower our employees and others to serve their communities.
- We integrate corporate citizenship and social responsibility into every aspect of our company.
Our commitment is fostered throughout the company, led by senior management, which is ultimately responsible for our economic, environmental and societal performance, as well as compliance with laws, regulations and our various codes of conduct.
It is only logical that responsibility for good corporate citizenship extends to all divisions of the company, because corporate citizenship at Arriva consists of far more than community service. Arriva Malta Ltd is a company of over 1,000 employees and the work we all do impacts not only our company’s business success, but the efficiency and innovation of our country, our communities, our governments and our infrastructure.
For these reasons, Arriva’s business is inherently required to pursue the highest standards of social responsibility, from how we support and empower our employees, how we work with our clients, to how we govern the company.
